Behaviour Management

At Learning Academies we work incredibly hard to provide a positive and encouraging learning environment. We are non-confrontational in our approach and we work hard to remain solution focused in all we do.

Some of our students (and their families) bring with them a ‘less than positive’ view of education. In some cases there may be a long history of difficulties and challenges. In ALL cases we work to look at ‘the present’. We acknowledge the challenges of the past but always seek to bring discussions to the ‘present’ and to take a solution focused and positive approach to planning a curriculum that is accessible, engaging and rewarding. We work on behalf of our schools and Local Authorities so remain neutral to any ongoing issues/challenges and provide a vital bridge back to education.

We are able to be creative and imaginative in our approach and, due to the bespoke nature of our work, we will often integrate a student’s own interests into the curriculum planned.

Our tutors are on first name terms with our students and their families.

We have two Tuition Guides produced to support the Parents/Guardians and the students.

Student Tuition Guide – a ‘Code of Conduct’ to allow the student to get as much out of their time with Learning Academies as possible.

Parent Tuition Guide – this is shared with parents when learning takes place in the home or online and helps parents/carers to provide a positive and suitable space for learning etc.

Please share the student guide at the start of your first session and go through that with your student.

Our Behaviour Management Policy outlines the 10 key factors known to underpin positive behaviour in an educational setting. It outlines how these relate to tuition at Learning Academies and some of the rewards and incentives that can be used.
