National Tuition Prog
Learning Academies is incredibly proud to have been announced as one of England’s 32 approved Tuition Partners for the National Tutoring Programme. We will be working closely with approximately 40 schools in the East of England, striving to support teachers and schools in providing a sustained response to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap.

All state-maintained schools in England are, from the 2nd November 2020, eligible to access heavily subsidised tuition from approved NTP Tuition Partners.
If your school is considering participation in the NTP then we’d love to hear from you! Please feel free to call or email our Education Directors. We know there is a lot to consider and we’d be happy to help answer any questions you may have. Telephone 01206 252152 or email matthew@learningacademies.co.uk or sacha@learningacademies.co.uk.
We hope to work with you in the near future.
Some of your key questions may be answered below. Additionally, we will be publishing further FAQs in the week beginning 2nd November. A link to these will be placed HERE.
The focus of the NTP is on supporting disadvantaged pupils, including those eligible for Pupil Premium funding. A range of tutoring models will be funded, including those that are suitable for pupils with SEND and in Alternative Provision.
At Learning Academies, we are proud of our well-established track record of working collaboratively with schools from across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. Through our highly effective iAchieve Programme, we provide inspiring tuition on a 1:1 and small group basis, raising attainment in the core subjects as well as improving confidence and self-esteem. We offer a service that you can rely upon to be consistent and effective. Our tutors are highly qualified and bring a wealth of experience to complement and enhance the work already underway in school. We welcome the opportunity to join YOUR school team and look forward to exceeding your expectations.
We are a cross-phase tuition provider and have an incredible team of tutors who work from Key Stage 1 right up to Key Stage 4. We work with mainstream primary and secondary schools as well as a range of special schools and alternative education providers.
Our Head Office is based in Colchester, Essex and we support schools from across the East of England, including Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norwich and East Norfolk, North and West Norfolk, Breckland and South Norfolk, Luton, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Southend-on-Sea, Thurrock, Essex Haven Gateway, West Essex, Heart of Essex, Essex Thames Gateway.
The focus of the NTP is on supporting disadvantaged pupils, including those eligible for Pupil Premium funding. However, participating schools will be able to decide which of their pupils will most benefit from additional support, and which type of support is more suitable.
Schools will be able to receive tutoring from November 2020 onwards. Schools will be able to purchase tutoring in blocks of 15 sessions.
We are flexible in our approach and are committed to working in the way that best suits YOUR pupils. We are able to offer Face 2 Face tuition and/or Online Tuition using our well-establish virtual tutor rooms. In accordance with NTP protocols we are able to offer tuition in group sizes of 1, 2 or 3.
We tutor primarily in maths and English, across all Key Stages. However, we are also able to offer tuition in science, humanities and Modern Foreign Languages.
Our tutors are at the very heart of our company. They are inspiring, experienced, reliable and effective educators. As a team we understand the importance of working in close partnership with our schools and are proud of the great links we build with Heads and class teachers. In addition to their teaching qualifications, our tutors all hold a Safeguarding Level 2/3 accreditation and enhanced DBS Certification. Many are specialists in their field and we are justifiably proud of them.
We know that the impact of any tuition intervention is greatly accelerated where open and regular communication is secured. We work closely with class teachers, Heads and SENCO’s to ensure a fully ‘joined up’ approach. Direct lines of communication to the Education Directors and tutors are in place, via phone, email and/or Zoom and we are always happy to meet up Face to Face (Covid allowing!).
Our tutors complete a fully compliant, rigorous, recruitment process. Applicants complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ via our secure recruitment portal and short-listed candidates are interviewed by our Education Directors – all of whom hold Safer Recruitment certification. References and full background checks are completed for all successful applicants prior to clearance.
School baseline data, enhanced by our ongoing assessments, enables us to set/monitor/report upon student progress. We’ll work closely with your team to track individual progress against clearly defined targets. We’ll provide you with Daily Student Reviews – these provide an invaluable insight for teachers. Pre and post course evaluations (academic and attitudinal) are completed by all pupils/parents/carers to ensure full impact is captured. We aim to make this process as simple as possible for your class teachers.
