National Tutoring Prog

Learning Academies is incredibly proud to have been one of England’s founding 32 approved Tuition Partners for the National Tutoring Programme. As part of our work for the National Tutoring Programme we have worked with schools across England, striving to support teachers and schools in providing a sustained response to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap.

If your school is considering participation in the NTP then we’d love to hear from you! Please feel free to call or email our Education Directors. We know there is a lot to consider and we’d be happy to help answer any questions you may have. Telephone 01206 252152 or email sacha@learningacademies.co.uk.

Tell me more about your tutors?

Our tutors are at the very heart of our company. They are inspiring, experienced, reliable and effective educators. As a team we understand the importance of working in close partnership with our schools and are proud of the great links we build with Heads and class teachers. In addition to their teaching and tutoring qualifications, our tutors all hold a Safeguarding Level 2/3 accreditation and enhanced DBS Certification. All have completed Prevent Training. Many are specialists in their field and we are justifiably proud of them.

How will Learning Academies link up with our school?

We know that the impact of any tuition intervention is greatly accelerated where open and regular communication is secured. We work closely with class teachers, Heads and SENCO’s to ensure a fully ‘joined up’ approach. Direct lines of communication to the Education Directors and tutors are in place, via phone, email and/or Zoom and we are always happy to meet up Face to Face.

How does Learning Academies engage its tutors?

Our tutors complete a fully compliant, rigorous, recruitment process. Applicants complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ via our secure recruitment portal and short-listed candidates are interviewed by our Education Directors – all of whom hold Safer Recruitment certification. References and full background checks are completed for all successful applicants prior to clearance. In a recent audit by the DFE and Tribal as part of the NTP our rigorous safeguarding and recruitment procedures were shown to be of the highest standard. If you are interested in joining our tutor team then feel free to browse the recruitment page of our website.

How will Learning Academies keep track of pupil progress?

School baseline data, enhanced by our ongoing assessments, enables us to set/monitor/report upon student progress. We’ll work closely with your team to track individual progress against clearly defined targets. We’ll provide you with Daily Student Reviews – these provide an invaluable insight for teachers. Pre and post course evaluations (academic and attitudinal) are completed by all pupils/parents/carers to ensure full impact is captured.  We aim to make this process as simple as possible for your class teachers.

How much does tuition under the NTP cost?

Tutoring received through NTP Tuition Partners is still subsidised by the Department for Education. Please see the NTP TP Page for our current prices. https://www.find-tuition-partner.service.gov.uk/tuition-partner/learning-academies-ltd?name=learning%20academies&from=FullList&jumpToLocation=atp-tp-jtl-learning-academies-ltd
