At Learning Academies, we believe that every learner deserves the highest quality teaching — whether in person or online. Our Online Tutoring Programme enables the connection of one-to-one teaching with the flexibility and innovation of a secure virtual learning environment. The safeguarding and delivery processes remain as stringent as our F2F sessions.
Our Approach
Each session should be planned to meet the individual needs of your learner, with clear objectives, engaging resources, and consistent feedback.
- Personalised learning plans: Tutors tailor lessons to each student’s goals, strengths, and learning style.
- Interactive teaching: Screen sharing, digital whiteboards, and shared activities keep lessons dynamic and collaborative. We have a great list of online resources that may help you. (Please see the Resource Guides section of the tutor portal).
- Progress tracking: Regular feedback ensures learners stay motivated and the Activity and Assessment Records help us to communicate areas covered and progress made.
We are always happy to arrange 1:1 or small group online teaching workshops, led by your peers to help you build your confidence and competence in online tuition. Just message info@learningacademies.co.uk and we’ll arrange this for you.
Safety First: A Secure Virtual Learning Space
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
Our online provision is built to mirror the same high standards of safety and professionalism that define our in-person tutoring.
- Secure, licensed platform: All sessions are delivered via Zoom Education, under a centrally managed education licence operated by Learning Academies.
- Individual virtual classrooms: Each tutor has their own secure, password-protected virtual classroom — ensuring that every lesson takes place in a safe, private, and monitored space.
- Central oversight: All virtual classrooms are managed and monitored by Learning Academies’ Head Office.
- Clear safeguarding procedures: Our E-Safety and Online Tutoring Policy sets out how we protect students and tutors, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and wellbeing at all times.
- All sessions are automatically recorded with copies stored securely for 30 days (and automatically deleted).
Tutors must always follow the Tutor Code of Conduct and use only their approved tuition rooms and only at the times arranged.
All tutors have an online tuition room – just in case we need to switch to remote learning.
